Each program is designed to create clear outputs, measurable outcomes, and durable public value.

1. Indigenous Public-Interest Journalism

Purpose: Expand reliable coverage of government, health, education, justice, culture, and economic issues.

Initial activities: explanatory reporting, public records work, community correspondents, election and policy guides, and collaborative investigations.

Measures: stories published, audience reach, corrections rate, source diversity, partner republication, and documented community use.

2. Community Information Needs Assessment

Purpose: Identify what residents need to know, how they currently receive information, and where gaps cause harm.

Initial activities: surveys, focus groups, stakeholder interviews, channel mapping, and public findings.

Measures: residents engaged, communities represented, priority gaps identified, and program changes made.

3. Culture, Language & Digital Memory

Purpose: Support community-controlled documentation and visibility of Indigenous culture and language.

Initial activities: oral histories, language features, ethical archiving, cultural journalism, and intergenerational storytelling.

Measures: materials preserved, language content produced, community permissions secured, and educational use.

4. Youth Media & Workforce Pathways

Purpose: Develop the next generation of Native reporters, photographers, editors, and digital producers.

Initial activities: workshops, mentorship, internships, paid assignments, newsroom simulations, and portfolio support.

Measures: participants trained, work published, credentials earned, placements, and continued education.
